I'm Simi Bhaurla, the proud owner of Mindful Growth Therapy. I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) providing telehealth therapy and counseling services to adults in California. Clients are in therapy with me for a variety of reasons including difficult life transitions, anxiety, depression, and trauma. I offer individual therapy services to clients who want to become change agents in their lives. I teach clients effective coping skills to help clients navigate their mental health to improve their lives. Common treatment modalities I use in therapy are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy and Psychotherapy (talk therapy).

I began my career working in substance use counseling and worked in a detox and sub-acute residential treatment center in the Central Valley. Since then, I have expanded my knowledge base by gaining experiencing in working with children and adolescents diagnosed with Austism Spectrum Disorder (ASD); severe and persistent mental illnesses including Schizophrenia spectrum disorders, Bipolar Disorders, Major Depression, Generalized and Specified Anxieties, and Personality Disorders; and trauma-informed care for clients who have experienced/witnessed traumatic events in their lives. I have my new private practice, while continuing my work in management at a non-profit mental health agency. My work at the agency has inspired me to continue providing accessible mental health services to the diverse populations of California. I am an advocate for mental health and want to be able to help break the negative stigmas of receiving mental health services.


Services

Individual Therapy
Therapy is a safe space shared between the client and the therapist. in which we discuss emotions, thoughts, feelings, fears, and therapeutic goals to help the client (you!) improve their overall well-being. Therapy helps clients learn skills to manage difficult situations and emotions, process past experiences, increase positive feelings and self-esteem, and ultimately achieve their short-term and long-term goals. There are many different types of therapy and I tailor therapy to the clients preferences, needs, and goals for therapy. Therapy is a great way to navigate the hard parts of life, bring inner peace and healing to oneself, and learn how to practice self-compassion. Session fees are $175 per 50 minutes, however I also provide sliding scale fees for clients who cannot afford the session fees.

Consultations
I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation for potential clients interested in receiving therapy services from my practice. During this consultation, I will ask typical questions about what is bringing clients to therapy, a little bit about their history, and if they have received therapy before. This is not a therapy session, but rather a easy-flowing conversation to see if we are a good fit for one another. After the consultation, it is definitely up to the client if they want to move forward with scheduling therapy. I encourage potential clients to schedule a few consultations at a time with different therapists to ensure they will the right therapist for them.
